The Great Race is a 2001 action/comedy film of where a team of NASCAR racers are competing in the Daytona 500 to win the prize and stop a vile competitor named Gilbert Bickford from terrorizing old fasioned race tracks and getting the deed to them so that he can demolish them. Most of the film features the races in the form of a television spot and includes dramatic scenes such as bumper crashes. The movie ends with the race a success and Gilbert Bickford being arrested by cops for the murder of a race track driver, who was shot to death by Bickford.
